With effect from 1st Aug 2019, the process to apply for LPA(Lasting Power of Attorney) will be halved. The mandatory waiting period of six weeks after the LPA application is accepted by the Office of the Public Guardian will be reduced to 3 weeks. During this waiting period, individuals can object to the LPA.
